Katrin Prüfig – Moderator
Katrin is an experienced TV presenter and at the same time one of just a few certified media and communication trainers in Germany.
She moderates high-level events both online and offline. Most recently, this included the hybrid Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting in 2021, an online panel discussion within the framework of the German Presidency of the EU Council (#MySocialEurope) in September 2020 and the hybrid international expert conference on EU Chemicals policy on behalf of Germany’s Environment Ministry in October 2020.
In 2020, Katrin completed a Master’s Degree in Cognitive Neuroscience. Her theme: acoustic charisma in light of brain research. Or: What exactly did Steve Jobs do inside the heads of his audiences? Since 2021, Katrin is a certified agile coach and in 2022, she acquired her certification as Scrum Master.
The HBM4EU project was launched in 2016 with the aim of improving the collective understanding of human exposure to hazardous chemicals and developing HBM as an exposure assessment method. The project had €74m in funding and jointly implemented by 120 partners from 28 participating countries – 24 EU member states plus Norway, Switzerland, Iceland and Israel and the European Environment Agency. One of its aims was to ensure the sustainability of HBM in the EU beyond 2021. The project ended in June 2022. The website will not be updated any longer, except the page on peer reviewed publications, but will be online until 2032.
